CIDAR MoClo Extension, Volume I
(Kit #
1000000161
)
Depositing Lab: Richard Murray
This kit contains 110 plasmids designed to quickly and efficiently build a wide variety of gene expression constructs using the CIDAR-standard MoClo system.
This kit will be sent as bacterial glycerol stocks in 96-well plate format.
Original Publication
The Richard Murray Lab has released these reagents to the scientific community as an unpublished kit. Please cite "Clamons S. et al., unpublished reagents" if you use these reagents in a subsequent publication. See the CIDAR MoClo Extension, Volume I Guide, linked from the Protocols & Resources tab, for additional information regarding the experimental use of the plasmids included in this kit.
Description
The MoClo system is a specification for plasmid parts that can be easily combined together to form new plasmids with functional expression units (and multi-gene expression systems) using Golden Gate assembly with BsaI and BbsI. While MoClo is used across a variety of systems and organisms, this kit contains parts designed for bacterial expression.
This kit contains 110 plasmids to quickly and efficiently build a wide variety of gene expression constructs using the CIDAR-standard MoClo system. This kit can be used as a stand-alone product, but is intended to be used with the CIDAR MoClo Parts Kit (Kit #1000000059) from the Douglas Densmore Lab, which contains a number of useful parts not included in this kit.
CIDAR MoClo Extension, Volume I extends the CIDAR kit by adding 21 promoters, 13 UTRs, 60 CDSs, 10 terminators, several combined UTR-CDS parts, and two new destination vectors for easier screening. These parts are backward and forward compatible with parts from the original CIDAR kit.

- Resistance Color Key
Each circle corresponds to a specific antibiotic resistance in the kit plate map wells.
- Inventory
Searchable and sortable table of all plasmids in kit. The Well column links to its kit plate map on the right, as well as lists the plasmid well location in its plate. The Plasmid column links to a plasmid's individual web page.
- Kit Plate Map
96-well plate map for plasmid layout. Hovering over a well reveals the plasmid name, while clicking on a well opens the plasmid page.
