Terms Accounting for Third Party Rights

Ancillary Agreements

Many of Addgene’s materials contain technologies that are owned and/or licensed by third parties. Materials containing the technologies described below may require the recipient to agree to certain terms in addition to the terms of the Material Transfer Agreement.

Cellecta Lentiviral Pooled Plasmids and Packaged shRNA Libraries

Cre-ERT2 Containing Plasmids

For plasmids containing the Cre-ERT2 construct, designed by the Institut de Genetique et de Biologie Moleculaire et Cellulaire GIE-CERBM (IGBMC), please see the IGBMC Cre-ERT2 Ancillary Agreement.

dCas9 Containing Plasmids

For plasmids containing the dCas9 technology developed at Duke University, please see the dCas9 Ancillary Agreement.

DNA Polymerase B Containing Plasmids

Fluorescent Proteins

The University of California, Stanford University, University of Oregon, Vanderbilt University, and several other institutions are owners of issued or pending patents covering certain fluorescent proteins such as GFP, EGFP, mRFP, mCherry, Cerulean and derivatives. These institutions acknowledge and/or consent to Addgene's distribution of plasmids containing these fluorescent proteins to academic and nonprofit research laboratories for non-commercial research use. iRE1 cDNA Containing Plasmids

For plasmids containing iRE1 cDNA, which is the property of the Regents of the University of Michigan and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, please see the IRE1 Ancillary Agreement.

Nolan Lab

Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute

Sangamo Zinc-Finger Technologies

Second Generation Tet Promoter

Limited Use Label Licenses

Many of Addgene’s materials contain technologies that are owned and/or licensed by third parties. The licenses listed below must be read and acknowledged by the recipient scientist prior to use of the material described below.

Agilent Oligo Pools

For use of Cellecta shRNA libraries comprising Oligo Pools, please see the Agilent Oligo Pools End User Label License (The recipient scientist must acknowledge this LULL to receive material; the recipient institution signature is not required).

Allele Biotechnologies - mNeonGreen

For use of plasmids containing the fluorescent protein mNeonGreen, please see the mNeonGreen Label License (The recipient scientist must acknowledge this LULL to receive material; the recipient institution signature is not required).

EMD Millipore and Brookhaven National Laboratory T7 Expression System

Hera Testing Laboratories, Inc. Limited Use Label License

For plasmids containing the piggyBac transposon, which has been exclusively licensed to Hera Testing Laboratories, Inc. Institut Pasteur Label License for cPPT

Invitrogen GatewayTM Technology

For plasmids containing the GatewayTM technology from Invitrogen, please note that the purchase of Gateway ClonaseTM from Invitrogen is required for carrying out any GatewayTM recombinational cloning reactions.

National Institute of Genetics Tol2 System
