Second reference PMID: 22965134. E. coli LacI DNA binding domain, LacI linker region, and E. coli GalR regulatory domain . The start codon of these genes is GTG, which is an alternative MET start codon in E. coli.
The GalR insert contains an E230K mutation compared to wild type.
