The human AR N-terminal glutamine repeat may undergo minor expansion or contraction during bacterial propagation. It may be advisable to limit the time of bacterial growth and to verify glutamine repeat length using Sanger sequencing. Minor changes in AR N-terminal glutamine repeat length should not significantly alter AR activity.
