The device also comprises a Tetracycline resistance marker. pCVD001 / CV-aacC1: The device confers gentamicin (Gm) resistance. pCVD015 / CV-ccdB-SwaI: The device comprises the ccdB gene (toxic for commonly used E. coli cell line), which can be taken out with the SwaI endonuclease and swapped for the sequence(s) of interest using adaptors optimized for seamless assembly reaction.
