- One of a series (ATCC 37624 through 37634) of Escherichia coli/Saccharomyces cerevisiae shuttle vectors for investigating control of expression in yeast. A 6015 bp BamHI/HindIII fragment of YRp8 containing URA3 was ligated to a 1975 bp BamHI/HindIII fragment of YRp7-32phocat (ATCC 37625). The depositor recommends using YRp7-17camp (ATCC 37630) as the reference for CAT expression and using the CAT assay methodology of Neumann, et al. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI/HindIII--6.1, 1.95; BglII--8.2; EcoRI--5.8, 1.45, 0.60. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin.
