- One of a series (ATCC 37624 through 37634) of Escherichia coli/Saccharomyces cerevisiae shuttle vectors for investigating control of expression in yeast. A 7285 bp BamHI/HindIII fragment of YCp8 containing URA3 and CEN6 was ligated to a 1415 bp BamHI/HindIII fragment of YRp7-32cat (ATCC 37624). The depositor recommends using YRp7-17camp (ATCC 37630) as the reference for CAT expression and using the CAT assay methodology of Neumann, et al. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI/HindIII--8.8; BglII--6.7, 2.8; EcoRI--7.2, 1.45, 0.57. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin.
