- Notes
- These data and their annotation were supplied to GenBank by Will Gilbert under the auspices of the GenBank Currator Program. Expression vector useful for construction of cDNA libraries and containing priming sites useful for sequencing. Permits visual detection of recombinants by beta-galactosidase alpha peptide complementation. [1] pUC830 (ATCC 77218) and pUC931 (ATCC 77219) differ in the orientation of the polylinker. [1] During construction, the original HindIII site of the pUC9 vector gave rise to a TAG stop codon which could be suppressed in strains which are supF and/or supE. [1] Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--2.7; HindIII--2.7; EcoRI--2.7; NheI--2.7. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin. Hosts: E.coli HB101, E.coli. Related vectors: pUC9, M13tg131, bGal131, pUC830. (Information source: VectorDB ( http://seq.yeastgenome.org/vectordb ).)
