- These data and their annotation were supplied to GenBank by Will Gilbert under the auspices of the GenBank Currator Program. Revised according to sequence of pBR322 by F. Pfeiffer This is a promoter probe vector. The promoterless galK gene is used as a selectable marker. Translational stop codons are present before the galK gene in all three reading frames. A promoter cloning plasmid vector. (ATCC staff) The vector contains a promoterless galactokinase (galK) gene. There are translation stop codons in all three reading frames between the cloning sites and the galK sequences. [4] Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin. Hosts: E.coli GALK-, bacteria GalE-T-K-, E.coli N100, E.coli. Related vectors: pBR322, E.coli galK, lambda. (Information source: VectorDB ( http://seq.yeastgenome.org/vectordb ).)
