- Notes
- Created by Moore, July 1995, under contract with NCBI. Similar to pDS20. A terminator cloning plasmid vector. (ATCC staff) Insertion of terminator sequences at the cloning sites causes the galK+ phenotype to become galK-. galK+ plasmids are lethal on galETK hosts because of galactose-1-phosphate accumulation, so terminator-containing clones survive in galactose media. [2] Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin. Hosts: E.coli N100, E.coli, E.coli S165. Related vectors: pK01, gal operon promoter. (Information source: VectorDB ( http://seq.yeastgenome.org/vectordb ).)
