Notes
From Mark Davis lab: Lin et. al. Science 1990, 249 (4969) 677-679. pBJ1-Neo is a derivative of pcDL-SR alpha296 [Y. Takebe et al., MCB 8, 466 (1988)] in which an Xho I and Xho I/Bam HI fragment located between the SR alpha (human T cell lymphotropic virus type 1) promoter and the SV40 polyadenylation site has been replaced for convenient cDNA cloning by a polylinker that contains the following restriction sites: 5'-Xho I-Xba I-Sfi I-Not I- Eco RI-Eco RV- Hind III-Cla I-3'. In addition, a neomycin gene (which confers resistance to the antibiotic G418) was inserted in between the ampicillin resistance gene and the SR alpha promoter at the Pvu I site.
