A human codon-optimized Cas9 nuclease expression plasmid. The arrangement of the Nuclear Localization Signal (NLS) relative to the hCas9 coding region was optimized for the most efficient localization of the nuclease. This optimized hCas9 expression has been shown to be functional in zebrafish embryos and mouse embryos.
