Depositor Comments
This baculovirus transfer vector enables a protein of interest to be produced with a biotin acceptor peptide (BAP) fused to its N-terminus in Spodoptera frugiperda cells. pDW445 also overproduces E. coli biotin holoenzyme synthetase (BirA), under polyhedron promoter control, so that BAP-tagged proteins can be biotinylated in Spodoptera frugiperda cells. pDW445 recombines with the polyhedron locus in the baculovirus genome.
