This protein is based on the one referenced in NCBI WP_002681904.1, which is incorrectly annotated as a N5-carboxyaminoimidazole ribonucleotide mutase. Functional expression studies show that the active form does not possess this activity and it instead has the characteristic reactivity of a class II PurE or 5-aminoimidazole ribonucleotide (AIR) carboxylase
