The rat neurexin 1 alpha encoded by this plasmid lacks alternatively spliced segment 4 (AS4), and contains the regions homologous to alternatively spliced segment 3 and 5 (AS3 and AS5, respectively) of mouse neurexin 1 alpha (compare Schreiner et al., Neuron, 2014 [DOI: 10.1016/j.neuron.2014.09.011]).
Note: HA-epitope tag was introduced at the mature N-terminus.
