Vector backbonepcDNA3-HE3
-
Backbone manufacturerPerez-Reyes
- Backbone size w/o insert (bp) 5500
- Total vector size (bp) 12700
-
Modifications to backbonepcDNA3 has been modified to contain 54 bp of the 5 untranslated region of Xenopus beta globin. Previous studies have shown that this sequence can significantly enhance expression in Xenopus oocytes (Liman et al., 1992), and does not interfere with expression in mammalian cells (Lee et al., 1999).

Depositor Comments
Identification of Cav3.1 is described in Nature. 1998 Feb 26;391(6670):896-900. Note that there are some differences compared to GenBank AF027984 (H1061L, deletion of amino acid L at 1700, H1735D, F2149S and F2170S) which was sequenced manually at the time. The Addgene NGS sequence is accurate.
These plasmids were created by your colleagues. Please acknowledge the Principal Investigator, cite the article in which the plasmids were described, and include Addgene in the Materials and Methods of your future publications.
