These plasmids are used to generate bridging primers with Illumina-compatible barcodes for allele frequency sequencing (FREQ-Seq). Similar to RNA-Seq, the FREQ-Seq method can rapidly determine allele frequencies directly from mixed populations with minimal library preparation.
