Modifications to backboneTransformed E.coli cells are resistant to ampicillin. The plasmid contains the nat1 gene from Streptomyces noursei encoding nourseothricin N-acetyl-transferase and confers resistance to the antibiotic nourseothricin of transformed yeasts. In contrast to pAG25 and pAG35 this plasmid contains the elements to maintain the centromeric plasmid. Transformation marker is the URA3 gene.
