This gel depicts the NEB 1kb ladder and a digestion of the plasmid with the following enzyme(s): BamHI and EcoRI.
We expected the following band sizes for the double digest: 6.5kb and slightly <2kb. The insert band is as large as expected, but the backbone is bigger than reported.
