The QA1F-SV40polyA fragment was excised from pQF-M2ET,w+ by digestion with EcoRI and
BamHI, blunted by Klenow and inserted into blunted pGalW (Brand and Perrimon, 1993) from which the GAL4-hsp70polyA fragment had been excised by NotI digestion.
