Depositor Comments

Cre-ERT2 contains Cre fused to the ligand-binding domain of a mutated estrogen receptor, which recognizes tamoxifen or its derivative 4-hydroxytamoxifen(4-OHT). This construct permits tamoxifen-dependent Cre activity.

Please note that Addgene's sequencing results identified a K183E mutation in the Cre protein sequence. This mutation was not intentional, but was present in the original plasmid and according to the depositing laboratory the plasmid functions as described in the associated publication.
