Depositor Comments

The gene encoding Mycobacterium tuberculosis FGE (Rv0712, encoding residues 2-299, GenBank accession NP_215226) was amplified from M. tuberculosis H37Rv genomic DNA and ligated into pBAD/myc-his A between the NcoI and XhoI restriction sites. The FGE gene was placed in frame with the start codon using QuikChange mutagenesis.
Please note that this information page previously listed the NcoI cloning site as not destroyed. The site was destroyed during cloning, however, and the page was updated on 6/16/08.
