Depositor Comments
This plasmid contains a SARS-CoV-2 viral sequence fragment that covers basepairs 8555 to the end of the genome. Because of sequence complexities in nsp3, it is difficult to synthesize the complete nsp3 gene. This construct may be useful to produce RNA controls for assays, as well as serve as templates to make antigens.
During Addgene quality control, an IS3 element and transposase were identified downstream from the SARS-CoV-2 fragment. Requesting scientists should validate that the element has not further transposed into essential elements prior to experimental use.
These plasmids were created by your colleagues. Please acknowledge the Principal Investigator, cite the article in which the plasmids were described, and include Addgene in the Materials and Methods of your future publications.
