RCASHoxd-13 was constructed using a cDNA corresponding to the longer of the two transcripts whose putative coding region is identical to the published sequence, with the exception of 9 glycines encoded by ggc repeats starting at amino acid position 10, instead of the reported 7 ggc repeats (Rogina and Upholdt, 1993). This cDNA was cloned into the shuttle vector SLAX-13 (Riddle et al., 1993), and then subcloned into the ClaI site of RCAS(BP)A .
