Depositor Comments
The HMGA1 coding sequence was PCR amplified from IMAGE clone 5399570 (Genbank accession no. BC063434) using gene-specific primers modified to include the appropriate restriction sites at their 5' end. The primers used were forward, 5'-TTTTGATATCATGAGTGAGTCGAGCTCGAAG-3' and backward, 5'-TTTTGAATTCTCACTGCTCCTCCTCCGAGGA-3'. Purified PCR products were digested with EcoRV and EcoRI before ligation into an EcoRV/EcoRI–digested pIRES-puro3 vector (Clontech, Palo Alto, CA).
