The merlin insert in this plasmid contains A190V and G302E mutations compared to the closest match human Merlin reference sequence (NP_000259.1). The depositing laboratory states that these mutations should not affect merlin function, but cautions that it may be necessary to test merlin function if performing structure function experiments.
