Depositor Comments

Binds DNA. Fusion construct of XGATA4 with the repressive domain of XTRPS1, which encodes two Ikaros type zinc fingers.

Despite slight sequence variation, the gene is still GATA4. Xenopus being a tetraploid species and one that is not inbred, there is minor drift among alleles and our clone was probably derived from such a variant allele. The homology remains sound and the function is intact.
