Addgene Diagnostic Digest
This gel depicts the NEB 1kb ladder and a digestion of the plasmid VEGFR2-YFP with the following enzymes: BsmBI, Esp3I, and BamHI-HF.
Expected Bands
BsmBI: 8.9 kb
Esp3I/ BamHI-HF: 7.1 kb + 1.7 kb
We see the expected band sizes, but also a small band at ~1.6 kb. This could be recombined plasmid. We recommend screening at least 3-5 small/medium sized colonies by restriction digest upon receipt.
