Purpose
This lentiviral genome-scale CRISPR library targets all ~23,000 protein-coding genes in the mouse genome. The library is divided into 10 sublibraries defined by biological categories, and each of these is then split randomly by gene into two half libraries (A and B).
This library includes safe-targeting controls, gRNAs which target the genome but are not expected to disrupt gene function, in addition to nontargeting controls. The gRNAs vary in length from 17–20 bp, with the truncated gRNAs (17 or 18 bp) having less off-target activity.
