Purpose
This lentiviral genome-scale CRISPR library targets all ~20,500 protein-coding genes in the human genome. The library is divided into 9 sublibraries defined by biological categories of genes, each with their own negative controls.
This library includes safe-targeting controls, gRNAs which target the genome but are not expected to disrupt gene function, in addition to nontargeting controls. The gRNAs vary in length from 17-20 bp, with the truncated gRNAs (17 or 18 bp) having less off-target activity.

† A Cas9 plasmid is NOT included with this item and will have to be ordered separately. Can be used with plasmids expressing Cas9 such as lentiCas9-Blast (#52962) or otherwise used with cell lines already expressing Cas9.
