CEAS (C-SWAT for Essential Allele Strains) Kit
(Kit #
1000000223
)
Depositing Lab: Rob Mitra
A suite of Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain construction vectors for perturbing gene expression at the transcriptional, post-transcriptional, and post-translational levels. The vectors are largely compatible with the C-SWAT genome-wide strain collection described in Meurer et al., 2018 (Link opens in a new window).
This kit will be sent as individual bacterial stabs.

Description
These plasmids are strain construction vectors used to lower gene expression in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Most of these plasmids are designed to be compatible with the genome-wide S. cerevisiae C-SWAT collection described in Meurer et al., 2018 (Link opens in a new window). In total, the collection comprises vectors for implementing seven mechanistically different knockdown methods, allowing scientists to empirically choose which method is most effective for a particular gene of interest.
Kit Documentation
A detailed description of how to use these plasmids to make strains is included in the Supporting Information of the publication.
