- pT13SNco was constructed from pT9-11 by replacement of the HpaI-XbaI fragment with synthetic DNA which was designed so that codons could be changed without any change in the coded amino acid in order to possess many restriction sites. The expression level of human IL-2 in pT13SNco was similar to that for pT9-11, suggesting that the third letters of each codon are not so important for transcription-translation efficiency.
