Depositor Comments

A replication-incompetent pLIA retroviral vector, based on the pBABE vector. In addition to the MMLV long terminal repeats, it also contains an internal ribosomal entry site (IRES) sequence derived from the encephalomyocarditis virus, in which the eleventh ATG of the IRES was fused in frame to the human placental alkaline phosphatase gene (PLAP).

pLIA has a cloning site for expressing exogenous genes under the transcriptional control of the LTR. The cloning site contains NotI, SfiI, SnaBI, and EcoRI.
