SpCas9-HF1 expression level is higher compared to that of the original SpCas9-HF1 coding plasmid (VP12, #72247) caused by the differences in the plasmid backbone and in the codon-optimization.

The lack of sgRNA expression cassette allows for easy testing of various SpCas9 variants with the same sgRNA expressed from a separate plasmid (e.g. pmCherry_gRNA, Addgene# #80457).
